Equality California Endorses Dr. Paula Swift for Assembly District 70

Seal Beach, CA – Today, Dr. Paula Swift, candidate for California State Assembly District 70, announced the endorsement of Equality California, the state’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, underscoring the growing coalition of organizations and elected leaders who believe Dr. Swift is the right leader to represent Orange County families in Sacramento. 

"Equality California proudly endorses Dr. Paula Swift for California's 70th Assembly District," said Tony Hoang, Executive Director of Equality CA. "Paula has never wavered in her support for LGBTQ+ Californians and the communities too often overlooked. She sees reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ equity, and protections for our most vulnerable neighbors as one fight, and we trust her to carry that fight to Sacramento." 

Dr. Swift welcomed the endorsement.

"As a social worker and advocate who has spent her career on the front lines advocating for our most vulnerable communities, I will always fight to protect access to gender-affirming care, defend against federal targeting of LGBTQ+ residents, and make sure every family in AD70, no matter who they love or how they identify, has real representation in Sacramento.” 

Assembly District 70 encompasses communities across Orange County including all of Westminster, Stanton, Los Alamitos, Fountain Valley, and Garden Grove, along with portions of Seal Beach, Santa Ana, and Huntington Beach.  

The Primary Election will take place on November 3, 2026
