Affordable & Accessible Health Care

When Paula lost her job during the pandemic, she experienced firsthand the fear of losing health care coverage while trying to provide for her family. That uncertainty is something too many Californians know all too well.

No family should have to choose between paying rent and seeing a doctor. Paula will fight to make health care affordable for working families, seniors, and everyone in between.

  • Expand access to affordable coverage by strengthening Medi-Cal and removing barriers that keep working families from getting the care they need.

  • Invest in community health centers across underserved neighborhoods so primary care, mental health services, and preventive care are available close to home.

  • Lower prescription drug costs through state-level drug-price negotiations and bulk-buy agreements so no one has to ration their medication because they can't afford it.

  • Expand school and community-based clinics to ensure young people, including foster youth, have reliable access to medical and mental health care.

  • Ensure our seniors can age with dignity by protecting their health care benefits and expanding access to in-home care.
